The gastroenterology department has reopened in our hospital.
It was the oldest in SOVMINKA, but during the quarantine and lockdown, the department was forced to re-profil into an observational one. The department was opened in 1970, since then highly qualified specialists have been working in it. Now that Covid has finally receded, the department has reopened for patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. It is equipped with the best equipment and comfortable rooms.
– There are 14 beds in our department, we treat all diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, – said the head of the department of gastroenterology, an experienced practitioner Zhanat Adibay, – These diseases are very relevant both for Almaty and for the whole of Kazakhstan. Most often, we are treated with pancreatitis, hepatitis, autoimmune diseases. We carry out a thorough diagnosis, treatment, if necessary, after the decision of the council, we refer patients for surgery. But still, we try our best not to bring it to this.
The condition of the gastrointestinal tract, according to the doctor, affects the condition of all other human organs, so it is important to monitor it and not bring the situation to the hospital. As a preventive measure, Zhanat Adibay advised me to eat as properly as possible, filling food with an equal amount of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, take a lot of fluids, and move more.
