An arrhythmology center has been opened in our hospital, where they will help people suffering from arrhythmias and teach new technologies to domestic and foreign cardiologists.
The problem of arrhythmias is very relevant. According to statistics in the world, 3% – 4% of people suffer from these disorders, in some cases this leads to sudden death.
According to the director of the center, an arrhythmologist from Georgia, Roin Rekvava, due to the aging of the population, the number of such diseases is increasing every year:
– In terms of mortality, cardiovascular diseases are now in first place all over the world and, according to forecasts, the situation will not change in the next 20 years. In addition, due to Covid infection, the inflammatory processes of the heart have increased, which also affects the overall statistics.
The Arrhythmology Center at Sovminka is very important for the people of Kazakhstan. It will enable patients suffering from such diseases to receive minimally invasive and high-tech operations, without blood, without opening the sternum, since we find the focus of arrhythmia through the vessels using 3D navigation and localize the problem using radiofrequency and cryoablation (freezing and cauterization). This is the technology of the present and the future.
It is very important that all these new technologies will finally be collected in one of our centers, where, in addition to everything, Kazakhstani cardiologists-arrhythmologists will be able to study for further application of new knowledge in their work in other clinics.
